(PEC), Gaza International Hospital, and many others.

Dr. Luay Shabaneh*

President of the Palestinian Central Bureau of Statistics. Chairman of the steering committee for measuring progress in the Arab region. Board Member of the Arab Institute for Training and Statistical Research. Member of a number of international professional associations, including international statistical institute (ISI), International association of official statistics (IAOS) and others.

Dr. Nabil Qadoumi

Engineer, academic and Businessman. Chairman of Projacs International. Board Member of the Welfare Association. Deputy Governor of the Arab Fund for Economic & Social Development, Kuwait. Co-founder of Hani Qaddumi Scholarship Fund. Held teaching positions at the University of Kuwait and Stanford university.

Mr. Raja Khaldi

Economist. Officer-in-charge of UNCTAD Debt and Development Finance Branch. Worked as Coordinator of UNCTAD's Programme of Assistance to the Palestinian people (2000-2006). Dr. Rami Hamdallah

Dr. Radwan Shaban

Lead Economist at the World Bank, Cairo Office. Had extensive experience in countries of the Middle East and North Africa, Europe, Central Asia, and South Asia. Fellow of the Economic Research Forum for the Arab Countries, Iran, and Turkey (ERF).Taught at the Universities of Pennsylvania and Georgia. Worked at Kuwait Institute for Scientific Research. Founding Director of Research at MAS. Won numerous awards including the "Palestine Award in Economics" in 1997.

Dr. Sabri Saidam

Telecommunications and IT Advisor to the President. Founder of Birzeit Innovation Group (BIG). Former Minister of Telecommunications and Information Technology (MOTIT). Member of the Social Science Research Council's Civil Society and ICT group. Served as Executive Director of the Institute for Development Studies (IDS).

Dr. Nabil Kassis

Former President of Birzeit University (2004-2010); Minister of Planning (2003–2004); Minister of Tourism (2002-2003). Minister in charge of the Bethlehem 2000 Project (1998–2002); Director General/ Palestine Institute for Economic Policy Research (MAS) (1994–1998); Director General/ Technical and Advisory Committees, Orient House, Jerusalem (1993-1994); Deputy Head/ Palestinian Delegation to the Peace Talks in Washington (1992-1993). Professor of Physics with a Ph.D. degree in Theoretical Nuclear Physics, American University of Beirut (1972), and an M.Sc. degree in Nuclear Physics, University of Mainz, Germany (1969).

Has numerous publications in nuclear structure and quantum theory as well as many articles and interviews on the Palestinian scene.

Mr. Samir Huleileh

CEO of PADICO since June 2008. Expert in Economic Affairs and Non-governmental Organization and the private sector. Ex-Cabinet Secretary of the Palestinian Government during 2005 – 2006. Former deputy assistant at Ministry at the Ministry of Economy and Trade between 1994– 1997. Chairman of the Palestine Trade Centre (PALTRADE) in the years 2004-2005. A board member in Applied Research institute-Jerusalem (ARIJ), Arab Thought Forum & Palestinian Banking Corporation (PBC).

Dr. Mohammad Mostafa

CEO of the Palestine Investment Fund since 2005, and its Chairman since 2009. The Economic Adviser to H.E. President Mahmoud Abbas, (a Ministerial level ranking), since 2005. Served for 15 years at the World Bank (Washington, D.C.) in several positions. Senior Adviser on privatization and public-private partnerships to the Public Investment Fund (in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia) (1997-98). The founding CEO of the Palestinian Telecommunications Company- Paltel (1995-1996). Holds a BSc Degree in Electrical Engineering (Baghdad University) and Master’s Degree and PhD degrees in Management and Economics from George Washington University.

Dr. Samir Abdullah*

(ex officio)

MAS Director General. Served as the Minister of Planning and Minister of Labor (2007-2009). Has a Ph.D. in economics (1984). He was promoted to Associate Professor (1990). A member in the PMA Board of Directors, and the vice-president of PMA Audit Committee. The author of a number of research papers on the Palestinian economic development.
